THE PANIK COLLECTIVE is a team of credentialed painters, sculptors, musicians, mathematicians & curators dividing time among multiple exhibition projects and public actions.

As such their chosen medium changes to best accommodate the message, which thus far has ranged from academic (Chicken Heart, a photographic and video piece produced for but ultimately censored from presentation at Grand Central Art Center in Santa Ana) to aloof (Marina Abramovic is Not Barbara Kruger produced on beer coasters). While these venues and projects are quite varied, and the mediums very different (silver gelatin photographs, audio and video manipulation, and dot matrix printing on found objects), themes of sexual and gender politics overlap, making it difficult to pigeonhole this group’s work into any specific genre, though they definitely bring together elements of Fluxus, Neo-Dada, Abstract Expressionism, Conceptual Realism, and Post-Pop Kitsch.

This selection of pieces from various series represents works that were done in an edition of some sort. With the remixed album covers from their High Fidelity series, the edition is one, as all of them are mono-prints produced as artist proofs for their exhibition at Houston Museum of Drawing in 2015.

THIS SELECTION OF 1/1 MONO-PRINT ARTIST PROOFS OF THE RE-MIXED ALBUM COVERS ARE ALL 12×12″ FLATBED DIGITAL SERIGRAPHS ON 1/4″ THICK, ARCHIVAL WOOD PANEL, PRICED $400 EACH.

The monoprints come in vinyl LP protector sleeves, and each is signed and dated on the reverse.

Panik Collective also produced T-Shirts of some of the pieces from High Fidelity (and one from their Lyrics series). Each is limited to 50 editions total, as the stretch lithos are pressed on the chosen shirt size after they are ordered. Stretch lithos do not fade or crack! Each shirt has a Panik Collective logo on the reverse, too!

Since most of the Panik Collective‘s work is primarily outdoor installation or produced for museum exhibition, these offer a rare chance of owning something affordable and limited edition.
